Suspected suicide pact kills 2

Mangaluru: In a case of a suspected suicide pact, two members of a family jumped into a well while another hanged himself at Permude in Bajpe police station limits on December 12. Two of the victims, mother and son died, while the daughter managed to survive the suicide attempt.

The deceased are Jayagopi (66) and her son Suresh (46). The daughter Shobha (48) has survived and doctors have said that she was out of danger.

It is said a property dispute forced the three to resort to the extreme step. Bajpe police are investigating the case.
