Talent Evening by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh ® Kundapura Deanery committee and Shevote Prathisthan

Kundapura, February 23: The felicitation programme “talent evening” to honor the talented people in the field of educational speech and sports was held by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh ® Kundapura Deanery committee and Shevote Prathishtan ® at Rotary Lakshmi Narasimha Kalamandir of Kundapur.

Vikram Crasto - the industrialist of Mysore was present as the chief guest for the function. In his speech-“At first we should decide what we should become. In the past, in India upper class people only used to get the education. When our missionaries started giving the education, all Indians received the education. But our community is not succeeded in higher education. So we should wake up and spread awareness”.

Another chief guest, the president of Catholic Sabha Udupi pradesh, William Machado, Very Rev. Fr. Anil D’souza, president of the function and zonal president Flywon D’souza-delivered their messages.

Glevon D’souza- Padukone-state level volleyball player, Jokson D’souza- Basruru National level weight lifter, Pavithra Menezas- Kundapur village accountant, Smitha Crasta Piyus Nagar, rank students-Monisha Carvallo and Frev Peter Menezes were honored.

First rank students of all sections were honored for their achievement in the Deanery level. A Unit of Kundapur Catholic Sabha performed the play “Konyi, kaay Unyar naa” written and directed by Bernard K was the special attraction of the event.

Alwyn Qwadros-the president of the Shevote Prathistan, Vinod Crasto, Jacob D’souza, and Shaila Almeida introduced the guests and awardees. The former president Heric Gonsalvis was present. Precilla Menezas-the convener of the programme welcomed all, Mebal D’souza-proposed vote of thanks. Renita Barnes and Florine teacher compered the programme.
