Taluk Level Throw Ball Tournament for PU Students

Kundapur, August 27: The taluk level throw ball tournament for PU students was conducted by PU Education Department under the leadership of Kundapur Government PU College at the ground of the said college.

 

Mr. Mahesh Poojary inaugurated the tournament. K. Kalavathy, Municipality President presided over the stage programme and wished the participants. Rajesh Kaveri, municipality members, Hussain Haikady industrialist, Vasantha Shetty, President of District Physical Education Teachers Association, Nagaraj Shetty, sports organizer PU, Education Department, Udupi District, Raju Kotian, industrialist, Dinakara Kotwal, Narayana, Anantha Krishna Kodgi and others were present as guests.

11 colleges in boys section and 10 colleges in girls section participated in this tournament. In boys section, Kundapur Government PU College won the Taluk Championship Trophy. SVS PU College of Gangolli got the second place and won the runners-up trophy.

In girls section, St. Mary’s PU College of Kundapur won the Taluk Championship Trophy. Koteshwara Government PU College team won the runners-up trophy.

Hussain Haikady, Rajesh Kaveri distributed prizes in the closing ceremony. The Principal of Kundapur Government PU College, Principal of St. Mary’s PU College – Rev.Fr. Praveen Amruth Martis and others were present.

Prakash Shetty, the lecturer proposed the vote of thanks. Sandhya Nayak, the lecturer presented the programme.
