Teachers Co-operative Bank Ltd. celebrates valedictory of its centenary

Udupi: The Udupi-based Teachers Co-operative Bank Ltd. celebrated the valedictory of its centenary on Sunday at Nutana Ravindra Mantapa on the MGM College campus. The bank has 19 branches spread over five districts — Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru.

Of the 13 branches, nine functioned in their own building. The bank had 15,585 members. While it had provided advances of Rs. 138 crore, it had deposits of Rs. 185 crore.

C. Ashok Kumar Hegde, president of the bank, spokeon the occasion and thanked the support of customers and staff for the success of bank.

H.S. Mahadeva Prasad, Minister for Cooperation, Kimmane Ratnakar, Minster of State for Primary and Secondary Education, and Vinay Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development were also present on the occasion.
