Technical Session on “Virtual Reality”

The Postgraduate Department of Big Data Analytics, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized a technical session on ‘Virtual Reality’ on 26 August 2023. The resource person was Dr. Pradeep Kanchan, Assistant Professor, Department of CS&E, NMAMIT, Nitte. The session was attended by the students of M.C.A. and M.Sc. Big Data Analytics. The faculty members of the departments were also present.

The objective of the lecture was to provide the students with an insight into how Virtual Reality enhances the learning experience in various academic domains. Dr Pradeep Kanchan introduced the audience to the different devices and technologies available in the field of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. He highlighted the importance of practice in domains where resources are limited and demonstrated through short videos as to how virtual reality can enhance the learning experience.
