Teenager washed away by waves at Kadappura

Kasargod: A 13-year-old boy, who had visited the seashore along with some friends, lost his life after being washed away by surging waves. This incident occurred at light house Kadappura on Monday June 29.

The dead boy has been identified as Adil, son of Basheer, residing near Sri Bhagawati Temple at Nellikunje.

Adil was a seventh standard student of a private English medium school at Chettunguzhi. When he was enjoying the scene of the sea that has become resurgent since the onset of monsoon season, a huge wave suddenly hit him and dragged the boy away with it.

Some local fishermen and other citizens who were near the spot, jumped into the sea, brought the boy out of the sea and admitted him into a hospital. However, he could not be saved.
