Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao visits Sringeri

Chikkamagaluru, Dec 17: Telangana chief minister (CM), K Chandrashekhar Rao, visited Sringeri in the district on Wednesday December 16 afternoon. He also met the spiritual head of Sharada Peetha, Sri Bharathiteertha Swamiji, and the junior Swamiji. Rao visited Sri Sharada Peetha and offered special puja. He also offered puja at Sri Shakti Ganapati temple, Sri Shankaracharya temple, and Torana Ganapati temple.

On his arrival along with wife, Sbhobharani, at the helipad at Koradakal near here in a helicopter from Mangaluru, revenue subdivisional officer, Snehal, and tahsildar, Sharadamba, received him. After inspecting guard of honour presented by the police, he travelled to the Math.

At the Math, administrative officer, Dr V R Gourishankar along with other senior officials of the Math offered Poornakumbha reception to the visiting dignitary. Thereafter, he went to Narasimha Vana where he met Jagadguru Sri Bharathiteertha Swamiji and junior Swamiji, Sri Vidhushekharabharathi Swamiji. He held discussions with the Swamijis about Ayutha Shat Chandi Yaga he proposes to perform at his state seeking divine blessings for the general well-being of the people.
