The first play of Kalakul’s 2016-17 batch – ‘Paying Guest’ was presented at the 177th Monthly Theatre

Mangaluru: The first play of Kalakul’s 2016-17 batch – ‘Paying Guest’ was presented at the 177th Monthly Theatre, on Sun., Sep. 4, 2016, at Kalaangann, Mangalore.

This comedy play was written by Arun Raj Rodrigues and displayed the incidents that occur in houses that offer Paying Guest facility. Christopher D’Souza, Neenasam directed the play while Alron Rodrigues provided music. Swarna Rita Veigas, Rohan Jacob D’Souza, Frivita D’Souza, Flavia Rodrigues, Vikas Preetham Lasrado, Sheldon Tauro and Jackson D’Cunha enacted.

Prior to the play, ‘Ho Jeev’ the debut music album of Jaison J. Sequeira was released. Rev. Fr. Antony Lobo, Parish Priest of Gurpur released the CD and ‘Vishwa Konkani Kala Ratn’ Eric Ozario released the music cards. All tunes and lyrics have been composed by Jaison J. Sequeira himself and Roshan D’Souza Angelore has arranged the music for this album.

The members of Kalakul & Mandd Sobhann, who had acted in the Konkani movie – ‘Noshibacho Khell’ were also honoured on the occasion. Arun Raj Rodrigues compered the programme.
