Mangaluru: The players’ auction for the upcoming Mangalore Premier League -2016 held at Forum Fiza Mall, Mangalore. The Cricket Tournament is being organized by Karnataka Regional Cricket Academy in association with Occasionals Mangalore and with the approval of Karnataka State Cricket Association from 17th to 30 the December at B R Ambedkar Stadium, New Mangalore.

In the Auction the following 12 fanchises are taken part:

Surathka Strikers, Coastaldigest Mangalore, United Ullal, Udupi Tigers, Karavali Warriers, President Sixers Kundapur, Kankanadi Knight Riders, Team Elegant Moodabidri, Red Hawks Kudla, Karkala Galadiators,Spark Avengers Bolar, and Maestro Titan.

The organizers have divided the players into four pools. In the “Icon’ pool 34 for players of the state who played in the KPL and first class cricket were there. Purse of Rs.2,50000/ were allotted to each team. The franchises were given the opportunity to nominate the owners choice player.

In the Auction from the Icon pool, Naveen MG sold to Udupi Tigers for maximum limit prize of Rs.75000, Thaha to Costal Digest for Rs.73000.00 and Jeeshan for Rs.70000.00 to Surathkal Strikers, Sadik Kirmani for Rs.65000.00 to Unitded Ullal, Deekanshu Nege for Rs.60000.00 to Spark Avengers, K. B. Pawan for Rs.42000.00 to Karkala Gladiators.

Mr. Rahul Kotian, Lal Sachin, Rithesh Bhatkal, Sinan, Jahur, Sachin Bhat were sold for the maximum fixed prize of Rs.50000.00 from the A pool.

The players sold from A pool for more than Rs. 20000.00 are:

Suhail, Adithya Rai, Manoj, Bipin K P, Pawan Gokhale, Nehal, Vrijesh,Mashuk, Nelsaon Pinto, Gaurav, Vikram, Ashish Dhar, Ibrahim Athradi.

The Kankanadi Knight Riders purchased Shivraj for Rs.56000.00. Mr.Nikhil Kamath, Ayyappa, Abhilash Shetty, Sathyaswarup, Mutahir weresold for more than Rs. 20000.00 from B pool. The following are present in the inaugural ceremony of the auction process: Mr. Arjun Kapikad, Film Actor, Jaheer from Almuzain company, Ismail of Realtech, Mr. Rathan Kumar, Chairman KSCA, Mangalore Zone, Shshidhar Kodical, Safthar, Ifthikar, Mansure, Yashpal Suvarna, Shukur Saheb .
