Tulu Nataka Parba to be organised at Town Hall

Mangaluru: Tulu Nataka Parba will be organised at Town Hall in Mangaluru from March 24 to 31 under the joint aegis of the Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Mangaluru City Corporation.

A C Bhandari, President of the Academy said, "Tulu theatre had played a vital role in the development of Tulu language. Several playwrights and artistes had strived for Tulu theatrical field out of sheer love for Tulu at a time when there were not much facilities. The Parba is being organised to present yesteryear plays of well-known playwrights so that the present generation would know about them."

As part of the fest, Koti Chennaya by Vishu Kumar, Kordabbu-Tannimaniga by U R Chander, Kumkuma by Shantharam Kalladka, Porthu Kanthundu by Machendranath Pandeshwar, Tammale Arvattana Kola by K N Tailor, Naraderena Vakalath by K B Bhandari, Kaanunuda Kann by Rama Kirodian and Lachu by Ullal Machendranath would be staged from March 24 to March 31 respectively.
