Twin district to face power shutdown on Feb 2

According to an official release from the MESCOM Mangalore Electricity Supply Company; Power supply will be affected in different parts of Udupi and Dakshin Kannada district on February 2.

There will be no power supply between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. in areas fed by 11kV Parkala feeder due to shifting of high and low tension lines to pave for widening Athradi-Mangaluru Road. The areas to be affected are, Athradi, Madaga, Parkala, Herga, 80-Badagabettu and surrounding areas.

Due to emergency maintenance works at the 11kV Uppur feeder, power supply will be affected in Hyrabettu, Jathabettu, Ammunje, Thenkabettu, Salmara, Banyala, B.C. Road, Bhadragiri, K.G. Road, Kallianapura Kote Road, Nejar and surrounding areas between 9.30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

As emergency maintenance works would be taken up on 11kV Udyavara feeder, Alevoor, Kukkikatte, Marpalli, Korangrapadi, Udyavara, Bolargudde, Katpadi, Enagudde, Kote, Mattu and surrounding areas would not have power supply between 9.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m.
