Two arrested in Panambur murder case

Mangaluru: Panambur police have arrested two persons with regard to the dead body of a man (Rakesh) found in a suspicious manner at Panambur on September 6. The are are Haveri Ranebennur residents Nagaraja Govindappa Lamani (24) and Veeresh Shivappa Lamani.

Nagaraj was said to be having illicit relationship with Rakesh's wife. Rakesh came to know about it and threatened to go their hometwon and reveal to everyone. To stop this, Nagaraj took his friend Veersh's help.

They made Rakesh drunk and took him to Panambur beach. They held Rakesh’s neck, turned him and pushed him over to a place where the place was filled with water. They squeezed his throat and threw a concrete boulder on his face to kill him.
