Udupi tops state with 88.1 pass percentage

Bengaluru: Udupi district has topped the state with a pass percentage of 88.1 in the SSLC results announced on Monday. Uttara Kannada stood second with 88.12 pass percentage while Chikkodi stood third.

Overall the pass percentage is 71.93 which is 4.06% higher than last year’s pass percentage. A total of 8,38,088 students appeared for the exam this year. As usual girls have outperformed boys this year too. The overall pass percentage of girls is 78.01 while that of boys is 66.56. Rural students have fared better than urban students.

The state level toppers are M S Yashas of Mysuru and K S Sudhaker of Bengaluru. Both have scored 625. A total of 1,342 students have scored hundred percent marks.
