Ullal attack victim succumbs to his injuries

Mangaluru (The Hindu): One of the three victims of Tuesday’s early morning assault at Thokkottu in Ullal police limits succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital on Saturday. The police have identified the victim as Safvan.

Safvan (24), Saleem (22) and Nizam (22), working for a catering contractor, were on their way home from Mangaluru when they were allegedly attacked near Thokkottu junction in the wee hours of Tuesday. Five miscreants on two motorcycles, allegedly waylaid and attacked the victims who were on a motorcycle. Safvan, a resident of Chembugudde, who had received deep cuts on his ribs, ran for help for about 1 km and later was admitted to a hospital in the city.
