Mangaluru: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar WAS is in the city on Saturday. Addressing a press meet, he launched a tirade against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
"The Chief Minister is day dreaming. Congress will face humiliating defeat in the next Assembly elections. The Government has also lost the confidence of farmers and the backward classes. Congress, which calls itself as champion for OBC's has kept the constitutional status to OBC Commission Bill on hold in the Rajya Sabha," he said.
Referring to the recent win of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, he said the results revealed the trust which the people had on Prime Minister Modi. The Union Government policies are aimed at uplifting the poor and the backward classes, he added.
Union Minister Ramesh Jigajinagi, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and former MLA Krishna J Palemar were also present.
