Udupi: There is sufficient water in Baje Dam, which is supplying water for Udupi Municipal Council area compared to previous year so no water shortage will be seen.  Water will be supplied once in two days if there is shortage of water, said Mr. Yuvaraj, Mayor of Udupi Muncipal City Council.

Answering the question of Dr. M. R. Pai, leader of Opposition during the common meeting of Muncipal Council members on Saturday, 28th February, 2015 at Udupi City Council Hall, Yuvaraj said that there could be shortage of water supply due to repair work or other, but normally there is no shortage of water supply to the Udupi City. He also said that there will be no partiality to supply water to the city.

Yashpal Suvarna, Naveen Bhabdary, Samprasad Kudva and Narasimha Nayak supported Dr. M. R. Pai during the matter of shortage of water supply to the city.

Yashpal Suvarna argued that there should be disconnection of water supply to part of Udyavara Panchayat area in order to overcome shortage of water. He also said that at some of the construction sites, the water is misused. Narayan Kunder also supported Yashpal Suvarna in regard to supply of water to Gram Panchayat areas.

Narasimha Nayak also complained that City Municipal is using old vehicles for the Municipal jobs which will be dangerous. Vashanthi Shetty argued that City Municipality is making partiality in regard to areas of ruling and opposition.

Ramesh Kanchan and Jyothi objected that the End Point road was blocked. Naveen Bhandary said that in city bus stand area some of the bus operators are conducting repair work and that should be stopped.

Municipal Commissioner, Amrutha Krishamurthi vice President of UMC were present on the dais. Prashanth Bhat, Menakshi Bannanje and other municipal councilors participated during various issues of the Municipal Council common meeting.
