Udupi: World Art day was celebrated at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal on 15 April 2016. Sri Rathna Kumar, Secretary, Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust presided over the function.
In his presidential address he said art activities are given importance in SMVITM for the overall development of students. Mr. Ramesh Rao, Fouder president of Artists’ Forum Udupi, suggested the students to involve in more and more cultural activities.
Prof. Thirumaleshwara Bhat, Principal, Smvitm advised the students to involve in the activities planned by Artists’ Forum which will help them to achieve professional excellence. Mr. Gregory Mathias, Innanje was guest of honor. Prof. Ganesha A, Dean (A) welcomed the gathering. Mr. Purushotham Adve, President Artists’ Forum Udupi, proposed by vote of thanks. Mr. Saku Pangala , Secretary Artists’ Forum Udupi, compeered the program.
After the formal program art exhibition, Workshops on clay modeling, face painting, terracotta were held. Mr. Ramesh Rao, Purushotham Adve, Kandan G, Musthafa, Venki Palimar, Shreenath, Janardhan Havenje, Jayavanth, Manjunath Mayya, Saku Pangala, Permude Mohan Kumar, Prakash, Ganesh, Vasantha, H K Ramachandra, Liyakath Ali, Vignesh participated as resource persons.
