‘World Theatre Day-2016’ Celebrated at Kalaangann

Mangaluru: Kalakul Theatre Repertory in association with its mother body Mandd Sobhann had organised a one-day celebration of ‘World Theatre Day-2016’, on Mon., March 28, 2016, at Kalaangann. 59 enthusiasts had participated in the celebration.

Shri Basuma Kodagu, renowned Drama and Cinema Director, inaugurated the Celebrations. Mandd Sobhann Gurkar, Shri Eric Ozario; President, Shri Louis Pinto; Kalakul Administrator, Shri Arun Raj Rodrigues and Chief Trainer; Shri Christopher D’Souza Neenasam, were present on stage. Ms. Frivita D’Souza carried out the proceedings.

‘Katha Rang’, a unique experiment by the Kalakul Theatre Repertory, was presented on the occasion, which was followed by an interaction with Shri Basuma Kodagu. The full-day celebration included – information about the skills of acting, training in street plays, games related to acting and presentation of a short film.

The participants presented a street play prior to the Concluding Ceremony. Certificates were awarded to all the participants. The celebrations which began at 9.30 a.m., concluded at 5.30 p.m..
