YCS-YSM Shirva Deanery level Cultural competitions held at Pamboor

Shirva : YCS/YSM of Shirva deanery organised a deanery level cultural competition at Holy Cross church Pamboor on 14 september 2014 at 2:30 PM. All 10 YCS units of the deanery participated in the competition.YCS/YSM director of Shirva Deanery, Rev.Fr.Paul Rego, Youth director of Udupi diocese Rev.Fr.Edwin Dsouza, parish priests of various parishes of the deanery, Animators of various YCS units, Vice president and Secretary of Pamboor parish council Mr.Prakash Noronha and Mrs.Asuntha Dsouza were present.

The competitions are as follows:
1.Group Singing competition
2.Group Dance competition
3.Konkani short Plays(Skits)

Mr.Waylon Machado,Mr. Avil Jackson Sequeira and Miss.Teena Machado were the judges. The members from various YCS units participated in big numbers and the skits were prepared and played for the pre given topic. The topics were TV and Internet, Mobile, minimising the use of plastic, protection of Environment etc.

Rev.Fr.Edwin congratulated the Deanery YCS council for organising the program and Rev.Fr.Paul for taking the Lead. The prizes were distributed to the winners of the competition.

Pamboor parish bagged the Overall championship, Shirva Parish bagged the Runner Up in Over all Championship.
