‘YUVA MULAKATH’ of ICYM Moodabidri Deanery Youths held on National Youth Sunday

Moodabidri: ICYM Moodabidri Deanery in association with ICYM Sampige Unit organsied “YUVA MULAKATH”, First youth gathering programme of the year. Current year is named as “YUVA SPANDAN YEAR”. Nearly 150 youths from 14 Parish Units took active part in this programme which held on the National Youth Day. A special Holy Eucharistic Mass was celebrated for the youth to mark National Youth Day. Rev Fr Ronald Dsouza, Director ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant, while Rev Fr Francis Crasta, Director ICYM Moodbidri Deanary was a co celebrant and delivered homily.

Francis Monteiro Siddakatte President ICYM Moodbidri Deanary welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by planting a sapling in a pot by all the guests and all 14 parish unit presidents and secretaries tied a band each to the sapling. Dr Vincent Pamboor, the resource person enlightened the youth on various issues, threats faced by Christians community & youths in particular, and called upon youth to face challenges. Jovel Fernandes Treasurer ICYM Central Council conducted innovative games for the youth.

Rev Fr Paul Sequeria Dean Moodabidri Deanery, Rev Fr Eugene DSilva CSSR, Jaison Pereira Shirthday President, Aneesh Lobo Kadaba Joint Secretary, Frenton Irol Dsouza Cascia, P.R.O of ICYM Central Council, Mangalore Diocese & others were present. Adrick President ICYM Sampige Unit proposed the vote of thanks. Flavian Sampige compered the programme.
