Youth arrested for assaulting policeman

Puttur: Naman Nayak from Narimogaru has been arrested by the police on Friday on the charges of assaulting a police constable. Nayak attacked the constable Harish P on May 4, Thursday when the latter had approached the former to serve a notice asking him to appear before the Police Station in connection with the complaint.

Jayakumar Nair had earlier lodged a complaint alleging that Naman had abused him in connection with a monetary dispute.

The accused Naman has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody for 12 days.
