Udupi: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (I.C.Y.M), Mount Rosary Church Santhekatte under the guidance of Youth Commission Mount Rosary Church organised parish Youth Day on Sunday,24th April 2016 with a thanksgiving mass at 8 a.m celebrated by Fr Philip Neri Aranha, Parish Priest & Fr Mahesh Dsouza ,Asst Parish Priest. Fr Philip Neri in his Homily stressed on the mentality, problems of youth ..

The evening celebrations began at 5 30 pm with a panel discussion with the panellist Fr Anil Cornelio, parish Priest Hirgan, Dr Leslie Lewis, Paediatrician KMC Hospital Manipal & Mr Ronald Fernandes , Moodbidri Chief LIC Advisor with Fr Mahesh as Moderator. The panellists spoke about the difficulties they had to face to reach to the position they are at. The Youth also clarified their doubts and asked them questions. 

During the Formal programme, Fr Philip Neri Aranha , Fr Mahesh, Sr Laura ,Superior Goretti Convent ,Sr Marie Jane, superior Carmel Nivas, Mr Jestan Fernandes, Kallianpur Varado ICYM President, Mrs Benedicta Menezes, Yuva Ayog & Mrs Jyothi Lewis, Animator ICYM were present on the dais. Fr Philip Neri Conducted the elections for the next year and wished the youth well. Mr Wernher Dsilva welcomed the gathering, Miss Viola D Almeida placed the annual report, Mr Nikhil Coelho compered the programme. There was a dance and a comedy skit along with games .

The celebrations ended with the dinner prepared by the Yuva Ayog members and Baila.
