'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' gets U/A certificate

Published On : 11 Jul 2015

Mumbai, (IANS): Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's upcoming action-drama "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The film, which is set to release on July 17, landed into controversy after several religious organisations raised objections to the title and content of the film.

However, CBFC has finally given it a U/A certificate, according to Salman's younger sister Arpita Khan Sharma.

Arpita, who married businessman Aayush Sharma earlier this year, took to Twitter to share the news with the 49-year-old actor's fans.

"Yeah we got a UA certificate from the censor board! @kabirkhankk @minimathur @BeingSalmanKhan @aaysharma @amarbutala @justbeinggarima" she tweeted.

Directed by Kabir Khan, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is co-produced by Salman Khan Films
