I would not like to work with David Dhawan: Govinda

Published On : 31 Oct 2014   |  Reported By : Nagesh Udupi

Govinda and David Dhawan, once a hit pair that churned out blockbusters films like Coolie No. 1 (1995), Deewana Mastana (1997) and Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999), among others, have now drifted apart to such an extent that they haven’t even spoken to each other in four years.

The reason for this is 'Chashme Baddhoor'. The 2013 remake film was Govinda's idea. He had shared the idea of remaking the classic film of same name with David, who insatntly liked the idea. He promised Govinda to give a pivotal role in the film, which was that was later played by Rishi Kapoor.

When the film was officially announced, David Dhawan approached Rishi Kapoor for the film and cast him. This incident hurted Govinda, which made him take this decision.

In the past too, the famous director-actor jodi have fought. We just hope this pair never breaks and they come up with a new film soon.
