‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ writer Zeishan’s Quadri’s directorial debut, ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’ launched its trailer on Wednesday. The trailer is on the heels of the fantastic response to the first look and motion poster of the film which went viral. The theme of friendship and crime displayed through their rebellious streak along with guns and alcohol has instantly connected with the masses.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee was the star attraction at the event.

While interacting with media, Manoj told media, “During ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, I thought he is just an enthusiastic young boy. But I never saw his enthusiasm diminish. Zeishan has, in a very short time, proved that if you’re passionate and if your goal is clear in front of you then reaching that goal is not difficult. All my best wishes to Zeishan and to the entire cast for the film and to Prateek Group.”

Producer of the film, Shoeb Ahmed is delighted with the response to their debut venture.

Shoeb Ahmed told media, “Prateek Group is a renowned brand having created landmarks and setting benchmarks in the real estate sector by turning a common man’s dream of owning a home into reality. But we were eager to expand our horizons and what could’ve been better than the Bollywood industry.”

Shoeb added, “’Meeruthiya Gangsters’ is our maiden venture and I’m very happy that a writer-director Zeishan and presenter Anurag Kashyap is associated with Prateek Entertainment.”

Prashant Tiwari, Prateek Group Chairman, said, “I’m feeling extremely good about ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’. We always approach a new project with a lot of heart and hardwork and also a lot of emotions get attached to it during the filming.”

“These kinds of films don’t receive sufficient support, which is a fact. I’m grateful to Prashantji and Shoeb bhai for the support they’ve lent for my first film. I’ll never forget it in my entire life which is also the opinion of even our cast and crew members,” said director Zeishan Quadri.

Sanjay Mishra as usual in a hilarious manner entertained the team and media with his witty one-liners.

Sanjay said, “Trailer is Awesome. Very important that the film is shot in Meerut, a place which sounds impossible but it was a very good experience and the people there were very co-operative.”

The film features Jaideep Ahlawat, Aakash Dahiya, Chandrachoor Rai, Shadab Kamal, Vansh Bhardwaj, Jatin Sarna, Nushrat Bharucha, Ishita Sharma, Sanjay Mishra,Mukul Dev, Brijendra Kala, Malkhan and Soundarya Sharma. The film traces the journey of six youths in the world of crime in Meerut.

The film is gearing up for release on 18 September.
