Jaipur (DHNS): Actor and BJP MP Hema Malini suffered injuries and a four-year-old girl was killed on spot in a head-on collision between two cars on Dausa-Lalsot highway, about 50 km from here, on Thursday night.

The actor has been admitted to Fortis hospital in Jaipur. “The accident took place near Dausa Midway at National Highway-11. The actor was rushed to hospital in a private vehicle. Four-year-old Sonam, traveling in the other car, died on the spot while five others sustained severe injuries,” said Dausa Superintendent of Police Anshuman Bhomia.

Hema Malini was on her way to Jaipur from Agra in her Mercedes car. An Alto car suddenly took a wrong turn and hit her car. “It was a head-on collision and both the vehicles got damaged severely,” said Bhomia.

Doctors at Fortis hospital said she has suffered minor injuries on the forehead for which she has received four stitches. A CT scan and other tests were being conducted. Her condition was stable. Sources informed that the actor was coming to Jaipur to attend the inauguration ceremony of a new hotel.

Meanwhile, the state government galvanised all its resources and a special team of doctors was deputed to treat the BJP MP.
