New Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi on Wednesday said she has come across a few cases of "love jihad" in her parliamentary constituency Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh.
She, however, added that she has not come across any such cases reported to her ministry.
"I don't know if I should be commenting on this... We have not come across any cases reported to the ministry, but in my parliamentary constituency, 7-8 complaints have come to me," the minister said.
She was responding to a question on "love jihad", a term used by Hindu hardliners for Muslim youth marrying Hindu girls who are later converted to Islam.
