Tibetan detained in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Sep 17 (IANS) A Tibetan youth was detained here on Wednesday near Sabarmati Ashram, ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit.

Informed sources told IANS that security personnel nabbed the youth who was carrying flags.

Security agencies believe the detained youth was trying to protest against Xi who arrives at Sabarmati Ashram later in the day.

Xi begins his three-day India sojourn from Ahmedabad, before travelling to New Delhi in the second leg of his official visit.
