12th World Kannada Cultural Conference at Sharjah

Mumbai, December 05: 12th World Kannada Cultural Conference was held recently at Sharjah with the joint association of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah and Hridayavahini Mangalore.

 

During the conference, Cultural session, Poetry session, Media session, Non-residential Kannadiga’s session- were held. As a part of cultural programme Bharathanatyam, folk dance, dance-drama art exihibition was held. Several art-groups from different parts of Karnataka participated in the programme, exhibited their talents and spread motherland’s reputation.

8 poets participated in Poetry session, and Prabha N Suvarna from Mumbai also took part and presented her poetry. Prabha Suvarna has participated in several poetry conferences in the country and abroad and she has this talent of singing and poetry from her school-college days. She is a multi-talented personality and has sung more than 100 Tulu, Kannada and Hindi songs.

The famous social worker couple from Mumbai-N P Suvarna and Prabha N Suvarna were honored during the conference. The chief of the Hridayavahini group- Manjunatha Sagar welcomed all and compered the programme.
