162nd Birth Anniversary of Brahmashree Narayana Guru at Billawa Association

Mumbai, Sep 17: All religions preach peace, morality, happiness. Sri Narayana Guru also preached the same and his principles are worthy to follow in our life. His principles like one caste, one religion and one God are not only for Billawa Community but for the entire mankind. These principles bring all human beings together – said Dr. Ashish Shelhar a renowned MLA, the president of Mumbai BJP.

Dr. Shelhar was the chief guest in the 162nd birth anniversary celebration programme held at Brihmashree Narayana Guru Mandir, Santacruz (E) by the Billawa Association Mumbai.

The programme was conducted under the leadership of Jaya C Suvarna-the president of National Billawa Association. Nityananda D Kotian the president of the association took the president ship. N.T Poojary the executive president of Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and L V Amin the ex-president of Billawa Association were present.

“Celebration of Narayana Guru Jayanthi by the Karnataka government is a matter of pride and all Billawas are happy for this. All Billawas of Maharashtra have decided to conduct Billawa conference in next December.” –said Jaya Suvarna

“Bharat Bank has opened 30 branches within a year. The blessings of Brahmashree Narayana Guru and unity among all Indians are the reason behind this achievement.” – said NithyanandaKotian

PrabhakarSasihithluchanted “Om NamoNarayanayaNamahShivaya” for 24 hours since last Wednesday morning.PrabhakarSasihithlu and Donors were honoured by president. On the occasion, Jaya Suvarna–the Executive President of Bharath Bank, Vasudeva R. Kotian, Advocate Rohini J Salian, Pushpalatha N. Salian, K. N. Suvarna, J. A Kotian, U. S. Poojary, Bhaskar M. Salian, Advocate S. B. Amin, R.D. Poojary, K.B. Poojary, Chandrashekar S. Poojary, Harishchandra J. Mulky, Damodara C. Kundar, Gangadhar J Poojary, Ashok M. Kotian, Jyothi K. Suvarna, C.T. Salian, C. R Mulky, Narsappa C. Salian, Anil Kumar R. Amin, Shobha Dayananda were honoured.

Raja V. Salian, Bhaskara V. Bangera, Shankara D. Poojary, Dr. U. Dhananjaya Kumar, Mahesh C. Karkala – the Honorary Chief Treasurer, Shakuntala K. Kotian- the Executive President of women wing and other office bearers were present at the dais.

Chandrashekara S Poojary – the Vice Executive President of social religious committee presented briefly the life history of Narayana Guru. Dharmapala G. Anchan – the Honorary Chief Secretary of the association delivered introductory speech and compered programme. Harish G. Salian – the Joint Secretary introduced the guests. Ravindra A. Amin – the Honorary Secretary introduced the donors and proposed vote of thanks. UllurDhananjayya S. Kotian (Shanthi) performed the Pooja rituals and distributed the Theertha-prasadam.
