17th Anniversary of Gurudeva Seva Balaga of Maharshtra Unit

Mumbai, July 26: “Without losing our identity, we should inculcate the high ideas of others. Compassion and purity are the essence of every religion; so, in this age of globalization, we have to live together as one society and lead the life as “Vishva manava”- said, Shri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Odiyuru.

Sri Swamiji said these words in a Guruvandana programme and religious meeting held on account of 17th anniversary of Sri Gurudeva Seva Balaga of Maharashtra Unit, at Radha Bai Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla (E).

Sadhvi Shrimathanandamayi , Prabhakar L. Shetty – the president of Bunts Association, Nithyanada D. Kotian – the president of Billawa Association of Mumbai, Kannada journalist association, Chandrashekara Palethadi – the president of Maharashtra branch, Latha Jayaram Shetty - the president of Bunts Association women’s wing, Sadananda A Shetty – the president of Shri gurudeva Seva Balaga Pune, Bolnadguthu Chandrahasa Rai – the vice president of Seva Balaga Maharashtra unit and Revathi Vamaiah Shetty – the executive president of Vajramatha Mahila Vikasa Kendra were present at the dais.

Shri Swamiji honoured the great donors Raghu P Shetty and Varija R Shetty and presented the “Prathibha puraskara” to the talented students, who had achieved highest marks in HSC and SSC examinations.

Nithyananda Kotian, Prabhakara Shetty and Latha J Shetty expressed their views. Raghu Shetty expressed gratitude for the felicitation.

Divakar B. Shetty and Damodar Shetty – the secretaries of the association, members Vamaiah Shetty, Gunapala Shetty, Sachin Shetty, Mohan Hegde, Prakash Shetty Nerol, M. Thyampanna Shetty, Chitra R. Shetty, Kushlar Shetty Mulund, Suhasini Shetty and others performed Aarathi to Shri Gurudevananda Swamiji. Anand I.L and Leelavathi I.L couple performed Shriguru Paada Pooja. Sukhesh Bhandary and Santhosh Bhandary performed Pooja rituals.

The president of the Balaga, Advocate Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty welcomed and delivered the introductory speech. Nagriguthu Rohit D. Shetty Pune, Harish Moodubidre, Usha kumar Shetty, Narayana K. Shetty, Ranjan Shetty, Prema S. Shetty, Ratnakar Shetty of Nasik and hundreds of devotees were present. Mathanandamayi recited the prayer. Petemane Prakash Shetty-the honorary secretary introduced the guests and compered the programme. Mohandas Rai and group presented the programme “Shri BhakthiSinchana”.
