62nd Annual Celebration by Bhandary Seva Samiti Mumbai

CONTRIBUTION BY BHANDARY COMMUNITY TO THE DIVERSE INDIA, IS UNIQUE

Mumbai, Dec 29: “The contribution by Bhandary community to the diverse India is unique. Bhandary community adjusts with the feelings of all the countrymen and they have their own lifestyle. We have a responsibility to take this great heritage of Bhandary society to the future generation. By personality development one can get knowledge of other communities. By this way we can change our life style. The Cordial relationship showed by the Bhadary community is a role-model to the others; our youth should also inculcate this attitude in their life. This is our wish. We can lead a peaceful life with harmony”-said Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary-the managing trustee of Kachhur Shri Nageshwara temple, Barkur and president of Bhandary Mahamandala.

Bhandary Seva Samiti celebrated its 62ndanniversary last Sunday in a grand scale. The celebration was held at Shreekuch Desiya Saraswath Brahmin Mahastana Trust Auditorium of Saraswathivadi, Mulund (W). Justice Shekar S. Bhandary presided over the celebration and Suresh Bhandary was present as the chief guest and inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp.

“To place our community safely in the pages of history, we should feel proud that we belong to an ancient community. Progress of community is possible by education. So we have to encourage the people lacking education to continue their education. The versatile students should be encouraged. Because of them, society and community will get honour. By this way we can save our community”– said Shekar Bhandary.

Dr.Shivaram K. Bhandary- the Executive President of Shiva’s Hair Designers Private Limited, Ashok Shivanna Bhandary-Businessman of Mulund and Balakrishna Puttur-former President Pune, were present as honorary guests and distributed the scholarship and honoured the children of the community by presenting talent awards.

Narayana R. Bhandary-the Joint Secretary, Shashidar D. Bhandary the Joint Treasurer, Lalitha V. Bhandary the President of Women’s wing, Vanitha S. Bhandary the Vice Executive President, Rekha A. Bhandary the Secretary were present at the dais and honoured the leaders of community- Kadandale Suresh S. Bhandary and Shobha Suresh, Dr.Shivarama K. Bhandary and Anushree Shivaram, Balakrishna Puttur -Puna and Sulochana Balakrishna couple and Ashok S Bhandary

Sujatha Shankar Bhandary sang the prayer. Vice President Justice R. M. Bhandarydeliveredthe introductory speech and remembered the people who provided their service for the development of the association. Joint Secretary Karunakar B. Bhandary explained the achievement of the association. Former Honorary Chief Secretary Prabhakara P. Bhandary introduced the people whoreceived the honour and presented the stage programme. Honorary Treasurer Ramesh V. Bhandaryannounced the list of children. Joint Secretary Purushothama G. Bhandary and Sarita K. Bangera conducted the cultural programme. Honorary Chief Secretary Vijay R. Bhandary welcomed and proposed vote of thanks.

Hundreds of Bhandary friends and relatives of Bhandary community residing in Maharashtra state participated in the annual celebration. As a part of the annual celebration, members of the society and children performed cultural programmes. Jayasheela Bhandary and group from Udupi performed the comedy skit ‘Thelike, NalikeBokka Titanic Ajji” and members of the association exhibited the Tulu drama “Sanghada Collection”.
