84th Annual General Meeting of Billawa Association Mumbai

LET US BRING THE UNITY OF BILLAWAS INTO PRACTICAL: NITHYANANDA D. KOTIAN

Mumbai, June 27: “A Healthy society can be formed by the unity of selfless and like-minded people. By the service of these people a society can achieve overall development. Youth are the valuable asset of the society and their contribution in the upliftment of the community is admirable. In these days Billawa youth are filled with spirit of unity. By strengthening this, let us create a great community of Billawa’s” –said Nithyananda D Kotian, the president of Billawa Association Mumbai.

The 84th general body meeting of Billawa Association was held on 26.06.16 Sunday afternoon, at Sri Narayanaguru Auditorium. Jaya C. Suvarna – the honorary president of the association inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp. Nithyananda Kotian presided over the meeting.

“Whole society will be strong when we strengthen our unity without selfishness. Oppositions always will be there to destroy the unity. The development of the society is possible when we overcome this. We cannot expect anything from those people. So we should become strong by unity.” –said Jaya Suvarna

Dharmapal G. Anchan – the honorary chief secretary of the association welcomed the gathering and read the last year’s annual report. Dhananjaya S. Kotian –the joint secretary read the general meeting report. Mahesh C. Poojary – the honorary treasurer presented annual accounts.

Sooru C. Karkera – the founder president of the BillawaJagruti Association, D.B. Amin, Hairsh G. Amin – the directors of Billawa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, L.V. Amin – the former president, Shakar K. SuvarnaKhar, G. M. Kotian, K.M. Mabian, Advocate Shashidar U. Kaup, advocate RohiniSalian, N.M. Sanil, Srinivas Poojary, VasanthSuvarna, T.R. Shetty, Shekar S. Poojary and others expressed their opinions on behalf of the audience and praised the service of the association and gave some instructions and tips for the development of the association.

In the mid-session of the general meeting, Jaya C. Suvarna, Advocate Rohini J. Salian – the executive president of the Bharat Bank, Anilkumar, R. Amin – the chief general manager, chartered accountant AshwajithHejamadi, film actor and producer RajashekaraKotian, BannanjeRavindra Amin – the executive president of school committee of the association, UmeshKarkera, Harish Mulky, Sooru C. Karkera, D. B. Amin, BCCI director Purushothama S. Kotian, Harish G. Amin, and Surendra A. Poojary were honoured. Dayananda Gujaran and Shakeela Dayananda couple were felicitated for 50 years of continuous service in sevadal.

Dr. U. Dhananjjya Kumar, Shankar D. Poojary – the vice presidents of the association, Premanatha P. Kotian, Ashalatha Kotian –the joint secretaries, Rajesh J. Bangera, Shivaram S. Poojary, Sadashiva A. Karkera, Mohan D. Poojary, – the honorary treasurers, Shakuntala K. Kotian –the executive president of the women’s wing, Nilesh Poojary Palimar –the executive president of Yuvabhyuday committee, Ganesh K. Poojary- head of the Sevadal, Vasudeva R. Kotian –the director of Bharat Bank, advocate Raja V. Salian –the executive president of General Help Committee, Mohan G. Poojary –the executive president of Social and Religious committee, Bhaskar V. Bangera – the executive president of education committee, Baby S. Kukyan –the executive president of Shubha Mangala committee, Dayanada R. Poojary – the executive president of Cultural committee, M. Ananda Poojary –the executive president of backward class committee and directors of the Bharat Bank and others were present at the dais.

Kum.Vidhitha Ananda Poojary recited the prayer. In the beginning of the meeting, obituary was given to the departed members, well-wishers of the association and dignitaries of the society. Before the meeting, Santhosh Poojary performed Pooja. Harish Poojary Hejamadi introduced who received the honour. Harish G. Salian proposed vote of thanks. The annual general body meeting came to an end by singing the anthem.
