PROTECTION OF CENTRES OF DEIVAS IS INCOMPLETE WITHOUT DEVOTEES: NITHYANANDA KOTIAN

Mumbai, Oct.23: The Mumbai Sub-committee of Brahmashree Baidarkala Pancha Doomavathi Garadi of Kallainpur’s Thonse of Udupi district conducted its 8th Annual General Meeting on Sunday morning at the auditorium of Billawara Bhavana of Billawara Association at Santacruz (E) under the presidentship of Nithyananda D Kotian, the President of the Committee.

“Garadis are the centres of deivas which develop traditional life among people and also the devotional centres of human life. Hence, their survival should be our responsibility. Religious practices should not remain as mere practices alone but should also make our life meaningful and renovation of Garadis is possible through this”, said Mr. Nithyananda Kotian.

The Hon President of the Committee – Shankar C Suvarna, Vice Presidents – Vishwanath Tonse and C K Poojary, senior members – Ashok M Kotian Thane, Soma Suvarna, Roopkumar Kalyanpur and many others were present during the meeting.

The annual general meeting began with the worship of Shree Brahma Baidarkala. The Hon. Treasurer – Raviraj Kalyanpur performed the prayer and provided information about annual financial statements. The Joint Secretary – Karunakar B Poojary submitted the report of last year’s annual general meeting. The Hon. Chief Secretary – Tonse Sanjeeva Poojary welcomed the gathering, conducted the meeting session and proposed the vote of thanks.
