AGM and ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ Award Distribution by Billawa Seva Sangha Kundapur Mumbai

Mumbai, October 26: The annual general meeting and ‘Prathibha Puraskar’ award distribution programme of Billawa Seva Sangha Kundapur (R) Mumbai was held on Sunday at the auditorium of NKES High School of Vadala (West). Manjunatha Billawa Shiroor, the President of the association inaugurated the 26th Annual General Meeting in the morning by lighting the lamp and presided over the meeting.

In the presidential address, Manjunatha Billawa said, “Everything will be fine if we love to perform instead of having a feeling that it’s difficult to lead all the communities. The aim of forming associations will be fulfilled only if the members feel that associations should work for the welfare of the society, provide well responses to the members in case of crisis, identify and encourage the needy and the talented people of the society. Development of association-society is possible if they work for the betterment of the society. Let us put forth all our efforts to lead the association with morality”.

The Vice-Presidents of the association – Sudhakara C Poojary and Sanjeeva A Poojary, Joint-Secretaries – Lakshmana N Poojary Koderi and Bhaskara K Poojary, Joint-Treasurer – Jagannatha R Poojary were present on this occasion. The Honorary Chief Secretary – Surya S Poojary read out last year’s report and annual activities. The Honorary Treasurer – Ashok N Poojary presented the annual financial statements. 16 members were selected for new Executive Committee.

 

Haldi-Kumkum programme was organized under the leadership of the Executive President of Women Wing – Mrs. Sushila S Poojary. The Vice Executive-Presidents of Women Wing – Sumathi S Poojary and Rekha N Billawa, Secretary - Sushila Shina Poojary, Joint-Secretaries – Sushila Suresh Poojary and Sugandha S Poojary extended their co-operation for the programme. As a part of cultural programme, members of women wing and children presented various entertainment programmes, mini-drama, cultural dance, etc.

The Honorary President – Suresh S Poojary presided over the stage programme conducted in the evening. The President of Billawa Jagruti Balaga – N.T. Poojary, Executive President of Shubhadha Educational Institution Navunda – N.K. Billawa, industrialists – Mahabala Kundar, Govinda B Poojary, Honorary President of Women Wing of the association – Santhoshi S Poojary and Uma M Billawa were present at the dais as chief guests and distributed Prathibha Puraskar awards to talented children, scholarship to financially helpless students and sovereigns to all those who performed entertainment programmes, in the presence of dignitaries of the society.

He delivered contextual speech and wished for the development of the association.

The service will be beneficial to all if the associations-institutions are formed with the foresighted service. If we lead our association with the aim of providing public services, we will get the co-operation of the public continuously. The association will be developed with the guidance from its office bearers. It will be easier for us to lead our association if we have the clear objective of leading it. The co-operation of the members is also important to provide services to the public as desired by us. Let this association grow more and more and work for the betterment of the society”, said Suresh Poojary.

The Executive-President of Yuva Abhyudaya Committee – Sundar B Poojary, Vice Executive- Presidents – Raghavendra N Billawa and Shridhara V Poojary, Secretary - Ms. Rajashri A Kodi, Joint Secretaries – Ms. Purnima S Poojary and Ms. Nikitha C Poojary were present. As a part of cultural programme, comedy drama ‘Gandin kaambk haapd’ composed by C.A. Poojary was performed with the co-operation of Sa. Daya and Gopal Trasi. The members of women wing and children presented various entertainment programmes, mini-drama, cultural dance, etc.

The President felicitated the renowned drama artist and the Director – Sa. Daya. Rajashri Kodi, Purnima S Poojary, Nikitha C Poojary and Pradnya S Poojary sang the prayer song. Surya S Poojary welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. The President Manjunatha Billawa gave the introductory speech. Ashok N Poojary informed about the beneficiaries of scholarship. Nagesh R Billawa and Jagannath R Poojary informed about talent award winners. Bhaskara K Poojary cited the list of sports winners. Sugandha S Poojary presented the cultural programme and Lakshman N Poojary Koderi presented the stage programme. Sadananda B Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.
