38TH ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY- FRIENDLY MEET AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF ‘AHAR PRESIDENT AWARD’ OF AHAR

Mumbai, Dec. 22: The Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) held its 38th annual general assembly and friendly meet on Thursday at Mrs. Radhabai T. Bhandary Auditorium, Kurla (E). AHAR president Adarsh Shetty presided over the meeting. Sunil Shetty- Bollywood actor, was present as chief guest and handed over the educational aid and scholarships to the children of hotel workers. Also, expressed his views in the occasion.

Adarsh Shetty lit the lamp and inaugurated the meet along with the former presidents- Shivarama G. Shetty, Chandrahasa K. Shetty, Sudhakara Y. Shetty and other office bearers. He expressed his views and highlighted the sincere service of AHAR towards demonetization, GST implementation and waste management.

Vice-presidents- Mahendra S. Karkera, Krishna V. Shetty, Vinay K. Shetty, Sunil S. Shetty, Ravindranath L. Nire, Amar S. Shetty, Ranjan R. Shetty, Jagadish S. Shetty, Karunakar S. Shetty, Prabhakar B. Shetty, Vishwapal S. Shetty- Hon Joint Secretary, J.D. Shetty- Hon Joint Treasurer, B. S. Rao were present on the dais and Santosh R. Shetty- Hon. Gen. Secretary read the annual report. Sashidhar G. Shetty- Hon Treasurer read the annual financial report. Election officer D. K. Shetty announced the names of newly elected members of the executive committee for the term 2017-18.

In the program, senior hoteliers of zone 10- Manjayya N. Shetty and Girija Manjayya couple (Jyothi Lunch Home, Dhobitalao), Balakrishna L. Shetty and Kushala Balakrishna couple (Taardev), Shambu Shetty and Mamatha Shetty couple Parel, Annaya C. Shetty and Varija Annayya couple Dock Yard , Gopal V. Shetty and Amba Gopal couple Andheri, Sanjeeva K. Poojary and Sundari Poojary couple Vile parle, Yashawantha S. Shetty and Mallika Yashawanth Kandivali couple, Mohammad Abdullah Seliya (Colaba), Jamal Siddiq, Ibrahim Ali Mohammad Dadooji Mahim, Shambhavi V. Shetty Deonar, Pajir Rehman Abdullah Jogeshwari and Jaya C. Suvarna Goregaon were felicitated and honored in the presence of the respective zonal vice-presidents. Vasanth K. Karkal and Bharathi Vasanth as well as Suresh G. Shetty and Mangala Suresh couples were also felicitated for rendering their service in AHAR for more than one and a half decade.

Kum. Keerthi Vinod Shetty, Brijesh Shankar Shetty, Kum. Neelam Maruti Kumbar, Kum. Sarika Vasanth Poojary (HSC). Kum. Ambika Shekar Shetty (Mother Mamatha Shetty on her behalf), Kum. Shreya Surendra Shetty, Ganesh Vittal Sakpal, Kum. Krupa Mariya Lobo, Sanskar Vaman Salian, Kum. Raksha Devdas Shetty, Nithin Anand Poojary, Ankit N. Shetty, Kum. Archana Lakshman Nayak, Kum. Rishika Ashok Shetty (SSC) received cash prize and memento.

Santosh Shetty, Seetharam M. Shetty Colaba, A. B. Shetty, Narayana Alva, heads of sub committees, members of executive committee, former office bearers and several members were present at the program. The Program concluded with the National Anthem. Later silent prayer was offered to the deceased members and dignitaries of AHAR. Sathwika Shetty and Sowmya Shetty introduced the guests and compered the program. Santhosh R. Shetty welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.
