6TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING CONDUCTED BY KANNADIGA PATRAKARTARA SANGHA MAHARASHTRA

Mumbai, August 31: Mr. Chandrashekhara Paletthadi, the President of the Kannadiga Pathrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra (R) said, “The comments of the members supplement the growth of the organization and the healthy discussions will strengthen the declaration of the association. If the members participate actively by getting answers for their questions, their requirements will be fulfilled. Like that, if they actively participate in the activities of the association, their relationship will improve”.

Mr. Paletthadi spoke these words while presiding over the 6th Annual General Meeting of Pathrakaratara Sangha held on Sunday morning at Kannadiga Pathrakartara Bhavan of Utkarsh Nagar of Vakola, Santacruz (East).

He also said, “Narrating the life of journalists is the objective of the association. The response of the members is very much needed for the development of the association. Meetings with good comments from the members will have fruitful results. Development of the association with transparency is possible only with the question and answer session. In the previous meeting, I said that next meeting should be held at Pathrakartara Bhavana and as expected, we are conducting meeting here.

The association had a project totalling to Rs.3 Crores, out of which Rs.1 Crore was for the Health Fund of the members and Rs.2 Crores for the Bhavan. But we could not achieve this due to lack of response from the members. We have a plan of collecting Rs. 50 Lacs immediately. We need fund for Health Fund. Members should work for this honestly.

If we receive minimum Rs.2.50 Lacs interest per annum from this collection amount, we can provide medical aid to the members. The association will not ignore any journalist among us if they have health related problems. We will be courageous if we have enough capital with us. Many people have shown generosity for the projects of the association. We wish to provide warm response in future also”.

Everyone’s co-operation is the motivation. Journalists are the talented assets. Journalists should be ready to maintain this moral obligation.
