CELEBRATION ALONG WITH CHANDIKAYAGA-MAHAPOOJA AND UTSAVA BALI
Mumbai, March 08: The Annual Celebration of Shri Uma Maheshwari Temple of Jerymary was held on Tuesday morning. Kalashabhisheka, Homa, Chandikayaga, Mahapooja, Rangapooja, Utsavabali and other rituals were offered to Shri Uma Maheshawari Devi. Later, theerthaprasadam was distributed to the devotees.
B. K. Sheena Poojary –the trustee of the temple and Lalitha Sheena led the pooja rituals of annual celebration. The chief priest Srinivas N. Udupa of temple offered Pooja rituals to newly built Shri Mahaganapathi, Shri Subramanya and Shri Uma Maheshwari Devi temple and blessed the devotees. Rajesh Bhat – the priest of the temple offered arathi and distributed the theerthaprasadam to devotees and blessed them.
Priests Veda Murthy Shankaranarayana Kallunthaya, Vidwan Rajashekara Bhat, Guru Tantry, Prasad Tantry Jarkala, Sudhir Marathe and others conducted the Chandikayaga, Mahapooja. Dinesh Kotian Jerymary group played the devotional songs on the saxophone.
Nisha, Sonika and family, doner-Ravindra A. Amin, Ravi Mendon Kurkal, Tonse Sanjeeva Poojary and several other devotees were present during the distribution of annaprasadam, theerthaprasadam and in the bhajan programme of Shri Uma Maheshwary group.
