BSKS Association: Celebration of Senior Citezen Day at Nerul Home

Mumbai, Oct 18: ‘Senior Citezen’ Day was celebrated grandly at Old Age Home of BSKB Association, Nerul.

All senior citizens of the home presented the programme with enthusiasm. About 20 old ladies gave a programme called retro evening in which they put steps for old Hindi movie songs and entertained the audience.

Seniors from 62 to 97 years old wore different dresses and with a makeup matching to their personalities performed ramp work and surprised the gathering. Sindhu Nayar who trained the old age home people was felicitated.

The chief guest of the programme, the retired justice B.N. Sri Krishna, K Subbanna Rao – the president of Gokula, Dr. Suresh S. Rao-the elected president and Lioness District President and Governer of Lions Club and residents of the home Lalita Rao and Dakshina Murthy inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. The resident of the home Tara Shenoy sang prayer song. K.S. Rao welcomed the guests. Kusuma Srinivas and Ruchita Mehra presented the programme. The president of the Gokula felicitated the guest with a shawl and fruits and memento. The chief of the home Chandravati Rao read the annual report. Ratna Acharya presented the trophy to the winner, Victor D’Souza. Chitra Melmane presented the stage programme. Chandrashekhar Bhat proposed the vote of thanks.
