38TH ANNUAL MEETING OF MAHARASHTRA URBAN CO-OPERATIVE BANKS FEDERATION
Mumbai, Mar.07: Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Ltd was awarded the prestigious “Excellent Bank” award consecutively for the sixth time. The award was sponsored by The Maharashtra Urban Co-operative Banks Federation Limited. Bharat Bank was honored with this award for its turnover of more than 3000 crore rupees in the financial year 2015-16. The excellency award for IT sector was also bagged by Bharat Bank.
The award function was held at the auditorium of Bharatiya Kreeda Mandir complex during the 38th annual meeting of Banks Federation Limited. Vidyadhar Anaskar the president of the federation and state finance minister of Maharashtra Government –Subhash Rao Deshmukh gave away the honor to Jaya C Suvarna-the executive president of Bharat Bank and C.R.Mulky-managing director and chief executive officer.
On this occasion Nityananda D Kotian-the president of Billawa Association Mumbai, Rohini J Salian-joint executive president Rohini J Salian, the directors U S Poojary, Chandrashekhar S Poojary, R D Poojary, Gangadhar Poojary, Jyoti K Suvarna, Ex-director N.M.Sanil, Advocate Shashidhar Kaup, General Manager (IT Dept) Nityananda D Kirodian, Chief of development dept Mohandas Hejmady were present.
The minister Deshmukh congratulated the bank for receiving the prize and the federation for giving the prize.
Anaskar said, ‘The Reserve Bank of India’ has praised the service of the federation. The development of co-operative institution and banks is possible because of the sincere service of the co-operative banks and institutions’.
Ex-finance minister Anandrao Adsul, Bhaskar Rao Kothavde, Ashok Shukla, Gulab Rao Shelke and other authorities were present at the dais. Sayili Bhoir presented the programme and vice president Ramakant Khetan proposed the vote of thanks.
