Billawara Association Mumbai conducted 83rd annual general body meeting

Billawas have built an intellectual society: Nityananda D Kotian

Mumbai, June 28: Nityananda Kotian the president of Billawas Association Mumbai said, “Billawas society consists of intellectual people with rich history. It is commendable that leaders like Jaya C Suvarna, B Janradhana Poojary are working hardly to build a magnificent society. Let us strengthen our youth by giving them continuous support and maintain good releationship.”

The 83rd annual general meeting was held at the Sri Narayanaguru Auditorium of Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (E) by the Billawa Association on Sunday morning. The honorary president of the association Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp. Nityananda Kotian presided over the meeting and spoke a few words addressing the audience.

Jaya Suvarna said, “I feel happy that since I joined the association and Bharat Bank, both the institutions are working with great honesty . The contribution of board of directors and higher officials of Bharath Bank is also very commendable. Young leaders should take over the responsibility of the association in future and follow the principles of Sri Narayanaguru. I have full confidence in our youth. Let us strengthen the Billawa community and build a strong society.”

Dr. U Dhananjay Kumar the honorary chief secretary welcomed everyone and read the annual report. Dhananjay S Kotian sand the prayer and read out the previous year’s general body meeting report. As per the regulations of the Association 30 members have been selected for the executive committee for the year 2015-18 and Nityananda Kotian the president revealed the list of members.

On this occasion Justice Rohini J Salian, CA|Ashwajit Hejmadi, Naveen Suvarna, Suresh Suvarna, C R Mulki-managing director of Bharath Bank, Umesha Karkera were felicitated and offered bouquets. Rajashekhar Kotian Mudarangadi-actor, producer and advocate Mahesh Kotian and Naina Mahesh were also felicitated.

Rajashekhar Kotian said, “ It is great honor that I had been felicitated in this general meeting amidst of my natives. I came to Mumbai in search of a job when I was still young. Today, the society has recognized me. I never worked for recognition but I am lucky to be recognized through my hard work. I need your blessings and cooperation to dedicate my life to serve this society”.

Advocate Mahesh Kotian said, “We feel proud that Billawas are being recognized universally through their social service. Jaya Suvarna is the leader in the overall development of Billawas. His contribution is commendable to the Billawa community. His dedication towards the betterment of the society is also admirable. We feel proud that Bharat Bank is a bank belonging to Billawas. I wish all the success to the Billawa community, association and the bank”.

Vice presidents Chandrashekha S Poojary, C T Salian, Jyoti K Suvarna, Bhaskar M Salian, honorary chief treasurer Bhaskar V Bangera, joint secretaries Shankar D Poojary, Mahesh Karkala, joint treasurers L R Anchan, Rajesh J Bangera, Sadashiva A Karkera, Executive president of women’s wing Shakuntala K Kotian, Chief of sevadal Ganesh K Poojary, former president L V Amin, ex executive president of Bharath Bank Vasudev R Kotian, executive president of the school committee B Ravindra Amin, executive president of social and religious committee Mohan G Poojary, Yuvabhyudaya ececutive president Premnath P Kotian, executive president of Shubha Mangala committee Baby S Kukiyan, honorary sec of cultural subcommittee Darmpal G Anchan, honorary sec of other backward classes M Ananda Poojary, Advocate Rohini J Salian of Billawa Nyaya Mandali and other executive presidents and office bearers of local committees were present at the dais.

K Shankar Suvarna, G M Kotian, K M Mabiyan, Srinivasa Karkera, Jayakar D Poojary, T R Shetty, Adv Rohini Salian, Adv Shashidhara U Kaup expressed their views and gave suggestions for the betterment of the association.

Obituary was offered with a silent prayer to the departed members and wellwishers of the association. Joint secretary Harish G Salian introduced the guests and proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting was closed singing national anthem at the end.
