ALBERT W D’SOUZA AND WILLIAM SEQUEIRA RE-ELECTED AS EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT AND VICE-EXECUTIVE PRESIDENT

Mumbai, April 09: The leaders from the Catholic Christian community of coastal Karnataka started “The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Credit Society Limited”, and now it is named as Model Co-operative Bank Limited. Mr Albert D’Souza has re-elected as the new Executive president of the bank.

New office bearers were elected in a borad meeting held recently- William J Sequeira Mulund was elected as the Vice Executive President, Vincent Mathias, Benedicta Rebello, Marita D’mello, Abraham Clement Lobo, Thomas D Lobo, Paul Nazarath, Sanjay Shindhe, Advocate Piyus Vas, Lawrence D’souza Mulund, Jerald Cardoza, Ancy S D’souza and Ronald H Mendonca were elected as the directors, George Castelino was elected as the Assistant Director.

The bank has been progressing under the efficient guidance of the founder president Mr. John D’silva. The General Manager and CEO William L D’souza and Additional General Manager Herald M Serao are also rendering the service.

In the financial year of 2014-15 of the Maharashtra State Co-operative Bank’s Association Ltd., Mumbai, the Model bank secured first place and was honored with the award “Excellent bank”, in the co-operative banking sector. In August, 2015 The Brihanmumbai Nagari Sahakari Bank’s Association Mumbai secured third place and was honored “the best Bank” award.

By offering excellent service and by achieving the trust of the public, it has completed hundred years of successful service. The bank has organized a closing ceremony of its Centennial celebration on Tuesday, 26th of April at Kalina. The farsightedness of the founder, co-operation of the shareholders and customers are the main reason behind the success of the bank- said Albert D’souza.
