Dr. G.V Kulakarni’s book release and felicitation to achievers

BENDRE AND GOKAK’S INFLUENCE PRESENT IN G.V’S BLOOD

Mumbai, August.17: “We have heard that poetry gives pleasure. But the truth is creation of poetry gives the longevity to G.V. A human being should achieve something in his life and rather than achievement itself, we should have the eagerness to achieve. At his younger age itself, G.V learnt all these things from Bendre and Gokak. We can find Bendre and Gokak’s influence in G.V’s books. I wish that this young man who has entered the 81st year, sees the 100 years of life”- said the retired Justice of the Supreme Court Justice B N Shrikrishna.

He was speaking at the function of releasing of the book –“Mangalalokada Angalakeri” ( a collection of 12 articles about poems of Bendre) - a work by Dr G.V.Kulkarni. This function was jointly organized by Purogami Sahithya Prakashana Hubli, Narayanamritha Foundation Mysore, Harshavardhana Prakashana Mumbai at the premises of Adamaru Mutt of S V Road, Irla of Andheri (w).

The president of the Kannadiga Journalist Association of Maharashtra-Chandrashekar Palethady –released the –“Mangalalokada Angalakeri” book. The chief of the Kannada division of Mumbai University Dr G N Upadhya gave the introduction about the book. During the same occasion the lecturer of the Kannada division Dr. Poornima shetty, The sub-editor of the Udayavani Mumbai edition-Dinesh Shetty Renjala, the Honorary chief secretary of Kannadiga Journalist Association of Maharashtra and Karnataka Madhyama award winner Rons Bantwal were honored by Justice Srikrishna for their achievement.

While introducing the book to the audience, Dr G.N.Upadhya explained the importance of literature for the improvement of the life and said that “by having the balance in his life, Dr G V.Kulkarni achieved excellence in his life. This book is an effort to open a window to Bendre’s literary world.”

“My students are present in this function, it gives me greate pleasure, I am grateful to everybody who extended their services to this function. I have the passion for writing more and have the desire to release a book about my 10 students”-Dr G V Kulakarni expressed his gratitude.

Chadrashekara Palethady in his presidential speech said -“There is discrimination between writers based on their native, due to that reason, we should give the support to writers who reside in our midst. The vision and writings of Dr G.V are excellent and his service to the world of literature is notable. Let him live for 100 years and add beauty to literary world”

During the occasion senior writer and poet B S Kurkal, Dr Vishvanatha Karnad, Simanthoor Chandrahasa Suvarna, Advocate Vasantha Kalakoty, Nagaraja Padukone, Diwakara Shetty Mudrady, Film artist Devdas Shetty, students of the Kannada division of Mumbai University, lots of fans were present and honored Dr G.V by offering the bouquets.

Dr K S Sharma of Purogami publishers welcomed all and said “This is the celebration of the confluence of a triplet and a notable programme of literary world, through this the literary world has become more bright” .

Maithriya Kulakarni and Viveka Patila sung the prayer. Surekha Naik welcomed and introduced the guests and conducted the programme. Harshavardhana Kulakarni congratulated the honored people. N.R.Rao of Narayanamritha Foundation proposed the vote of thanks.
