“Sahitya Sahavasa – 2016” programme by Karnataka Sangha Chembur
Mumbai, Dec. 30: The annual Sahitya-Samskruti-Sammana celebration of Chembur Karnataka Sangha will be conducted on January 02, Saturday evening at 4:30 pm at Sahithya Sankula of Chembur. Justice H. K. SudhakaraArate- the President of the association will be presiding over the programme. The prestigious award outside of Karnataka and first annual award of Chembur Karnataka Sangha- “Rashtriya Kannada Ratna- 2015” will be confered to Retired Dr. Justice Shivaraj V. Patil – said Ranjan Kumar Amin the Honorary Chief Secretary of the association.

Conferring of Award:
The Sahitya Sahavasa – 2016 programme will be inaugurated by Haridasa K. Sanjeeva Shetty the retired Principal of SatysaiLokaSevaVidya Kendra and he will be presenting the “Rashtriya Kannada Ratna Award -2015” to Dr. Justice Shivaraj V. Patil. On the same occasion, the “Y.J. Shetty ShrestaShikshaka award” will be presented to Dr.Srimathi Vani Uchilkar who gave her significant service in the field of education. The “Subbayya Shetty Datti” award will be presented to K. K. Shetty the senior YakshaganaTalamaddaleArthadhari. The “ArateNagammaSheshappaPoojary Memorial” award will be presented to Dr.Jayaprakash Narayana Thottethodi- convener of Kasaragod Miyapadvu Shree Vidyavardha Higher Primary School – said T. R. Shetty, theTreasurer of the association.
As a part of the cultural programme, NatyaNilayamManjeshwara group will be exhibiting the classical, folk dance, Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, multiple cultural dances of Karnataka and Kerala. The school children will performvariety of entertainment programmes– said DayasagarChauta-the Secretary of the Cultural Sub Committee.
