GIVE IMPORTANCE TO TEXT BOOK RATHER THAN FACEBOOK – FR. JOHN ROSE

Mumbai, November 23: “Teaching is the wealth, so students should give importance to text book rather than facebook. A disciplined life will make life more beautiful, and parents’ guidance is required, in order to achieve this. Discipline is the foundation stone of the future of every child. Providing financial support, with concern for the future generation is also laudable. The poor students also get education due to the encouragement of the banks”-said Rev.Fr.John Rose-the director of the Xaviour Engineering College.

The Model Co-operative bank distributed its annual scholarship for the year 2015, on Saturday at Xavier’s Engineering college auditorium at Mahim(W). The inaugural programme was led by Albert W D’souza - the Executive president of Model Bank. Fr. The leaders from the Cristian community of coastal Karnataka started “The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Credit Society Limited”, and now it is named as Model Co-operative Bank Limited and this bank is the gift of our ancestors’ foresightedness. Now many banks are working in the campus and this complements the well-planned learning system. The bank’s contribution in the field of competitive education is immense. The financial burden to parents has reduced due to the intervention of banks in the form of educational loan, vidya-nidhi scheme, educational scholarship, encouragement to talented students and support to professional education. The modern and quality eduction is also achieved by the support of the bank. Higher education is an advantage; so enhance your knowledge in the field of political, social and economics and have a bright future” was Albert D’Souza’s message to the students.
