GSB POOJA RITUALS ARE A MODEL TO THE WORLD: MP GOPALA SHETTY

Mumbai, Dec 28: GSB Sabha Dahisar Borivili institution celebrated its 30th annual get-together by conducting Satyanarayana Mahapooja, annual get-together and talent award for children and with other religious and cultural programme on Friday at Saraswath cultural and Recreation Centre ground, Near N.L. Complex, Dahisar (E).

As a part of this programme, Shree Satyanarayana Mahapooja was performed in the morning, later Vyasopana, Samaradhane, Maharathi were performed and Theertha prasadam was distributed to the devotees. Shree Sudhindra Nagara Bhajana Samitisang the Bhajana songs. Afternoon various cultural programmes were presented by friends and relatives.

The get-together programme was conducted in the evening. Gopala C. Shetty the M.P of Borivili Loksabha constituency was present as chief guest, Dr.Jagadeesha Shenoy of Ganesh Beedi Works, famous solicitor Justice M. V. Kini, industrialists Madhukar A Bhandarkar, G. Aravind Rao, Bola Kamalaksha Kamath, Raghunandan S. Kamath were present as honorary guests. President K. R. Mallya and Honorary Chief Secretary M. Uadya Padiyar honoured Gopala Shetty the M.P and JagadishOaz the B J P leader. Guests and educational donors were honoured by offering Shawl, flower bouquets and mementos.

“GSB People are mild and honest. GSB’s Pooja samskaras are a model to the world and it is imitable. GSB society gives importance to brother-hood than status. We will work for the development of the society in future” – said Gopala Shetty.

The cheques were blessed by the Pontiff Shrimad Sudheendra Theertha Swamijee Shree Samstana Kashimata and handed over to the talented and deserving children. G. A. Rao released the Souvenir. The Guests praised the services of the institution.

Mohini S. Shanbhog the Vice President, Mohna A. Kamath the Honorary Treasurer, Executive Committee members S. S. Kamath, S.J. Shanbhog, Krishnananda Shirali, Keshava K. Kamath, P.S. Kamath, Chandrakala S. Kamath, J. Damodar Nayak, Suguna K. Kamath, Nagaraja D. Nayak, P.B. Bhandarkar and Mahesh M. Kamath were present and they worked for the success of the programme. Lakshminarayana Bhat performed the Pooja rituals, Ganahoma and distributed the Theertha Prasadam.

Stage Programme began with prayer. K. R. Mallya welcomed all and delivered introductory speech. M. Udaya Padiyar gave brief information about the institution. An obituary has been given to the departed members of the institution and Ramabhai Harishchandra Kamath of Haathi Chaap Pandarpuri institution who died last Wednesday. Joint Secretary C. N. Pai, M.
