Gopalakrishna Public Trust BSKB Association Conducted mass Ashtottara Shatha Nalikera Mahaganapathi Yaga at Gokula

Mumbai, Sep 16: Gopalakrishna Public Trust and Bombay South Canara Brahmins Association (BSKBA) conducted mass Ashtottara Shatha (108) Nalikera Mahaganapathi Yaga on Thursday on account of Anantha Chaturthi auspicious day at Shrikrishna Temple, Gokula, Sion. Veda Murthi Raghavendra Tantry, Udupi performed the Pooja rituals under the guidance of Veda Murthi Haridas Bhat and Vidwan S. N. Udupa.

“Parvati’s energy is concentrated in Ganapati. Ganapati is a great God who obeys his mother. He keeps up the promise given to his mother. He is a God of Siddhi and Buddhi. We can have the things we desire by worshipping Ganapati. Let the blessings of Ganapati be there at all the times with us” - said Raghavendra Tantri.

Muchchur Hari Bhat - the chief priest of BSKBA ShrikrishnaMandira performed the early morning prayers and inaugurated the other Pooja rituals. Yaga was completed with Purvahna Poornahuthi, distribution of Theertha-prasadam and lunch. Veda Murthi Krishnaraja Upadhyaya, Shri Bhat, GururajUdupa, Vasudeva Vylaya, Krishna Bhat, Rajashekara Bhat, VishnumuriMayya, Nagaraja Udupa extended their helping hand while performing the Pooja rituals. Dr. Suresh S. Rao – the President of BSKBA and Vijayalakshmi Rao led the Pooja rituals.

On the occasion, Vaman Holla and P. Shalini A Rao – the Vice Presidents, AnanthaPadmanabha K. Pothi – the Honorary Chief Secretary, CN Haridas Bhat – the Honorary Treasurer, P.C.N. Rao and Y. Gururaj Bhat – the Joint Secretaries, Avinash, Shankar Shastry and P.B. Kusuma Srinivas – the Joint Treasurers, A.S.Rao – the Secretary of Gopalkrishna Public Trust, Ramananda Rao, Krishna Acharya – the trustee members, U. R. Rao, Chandrashekar Bhat and PrashanthHerale, Geetha R. L. Bhat, Prema Rao, Y. Gururaj Bhat, P. U Rao and hundreds of devotees were present. Gokula Kalavrunda Bhajana Committee presented Bhajana songs and children presented devotional songs and dances.
