Teaching language and culture to children is equal to worshipping God: Suresh Bhandary

Mumbai, November 14: “Teaching Tulu-Kannada language and culture of motherland is equal to the worship of God. Children are assets of this world. Making them Civilized is a sacred deed. If the divine power in humans is transferred to children, our society will become great” said Suresh S Bhandary Kadandale, the president of Shri Kacchuru Shri Nageshwara Temple Management and Trust.

He said these words in the “Guruvandana and Talent Award” function held during the occasion of 14th annual celebration of Chinnara Bimba at Radhabai T Bhandary Auditorium, Bantara Bhavana, Kurla (E).

Mahesh S Shetty, the executive president of Baba’s group, Ramprasad Muduli, Rathnakar Shetty Mundkur, Dr. Shiva M Mudigere and Laxman Maniyani were present as the Chief guests of the programme and expressed their views.

Naina Prakash Bhandary, Keyyaru Ramesh D Rai, Sanjeeva Pujary Thonse, Ravi Hegde, Gopala Shetty, Savitha Shetty and Prashanthi Shetty were present at the dais.

In this Occasion teachers, bhajan trainers, heads of regional and cultural committees, resource persons, jury members of music - Ganesh Yarmal, Manjula Gururaj Bhat, Shibaruru Suresh Shetty, Padmakar Kotian were honored and “Guruvandana” was offered. The district Rajyotsava awardees of Chinnara bimba and their parents, Sayis J Shetty, son of Jayaprakash Shetty and Sandhya J Shetty - second rank holder of CBSE examination were honored by Kapil Devdas Shetty. H.B.L.Rao, Ashok M Kotian, Dayananda Shetty, Sadananada Shetty, Aikala Gunapala Shetty, Latha J Shetty, Prabhakara Shetty Povai, Vikramanada Shetty, Harish Shetty Ghodbundar, Padmanabha Sasihithlu, Manorama N B Shetty, Ashok Shetty Vasai, Shubha Shetty Mulund were honored during the occasion.

Thalipady Bhaskar M Shetty welcomed all, Shreyas Hegde, Rakshitha Shetty, Jeevika Shetty, Ramyashri Shetty, ShriKrishna Udupa, Shreya Shetty introduced and honored the guests. Dr. Purnima S Shetty introduced the awardees. Karnur Mohan Rai, Supriya Udupa and Pavithra Devadiga compered the stage programme.
