14TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF JAYALAKSHMI CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SOCIETY

Mumbai, July 20: “If a society wants to lead, it should have financial strength. It’s own guiding institution is required to manage this. All the customers and shareholders are spending their earnings on the basis of trust and confidence they are having on the board members of the institution and the guiding institution. Hence, honesty is very important for financial service.

 

Implementing financial service by understanding the current economical status is a great venture. Sincerity is very important in providing service. If the mentality of the Board of Director is broadened, thinking of helping others will occur and the overall progress of the society is possible through them”, said Mr. Narayana R Gowda, the Executive-President of Jayalakshmi Co-operative Credit Society Regulatory Institution.

The 14th annual general meeting of Jayalakshmi Society of Okkaliga Sangha Maharashtra Association was held today at Kamghar Marriage Hall of Gondavli of East Andheri. Mr. Narayana Gowda, the Executive President of the Society and the legislator of K.R. Pete assembly constituency inaugurated the general meeting by lighting the lamp and presided over the meeting.


The Director of the society – Chandan C Chari and S. Gowda, A. Kempe Gowda, R.U. Lagade, and the Directors Mrs. Anusuya R Gowda and Devaki N Gowda and Sunanda R Gowda were present at the dais. The directors inaugurated the meeting by offering arathi and performed Lakshmi Pooja. Mallikarjuna Swamy Kanjurumarg performed the pooja and wished all. P.A. Haldavnekar was the chief guest and Sadananda Gaikwad, industrialist Shekhar J Gowda, auditor Ajay Kumar, CA| Somashekhara Gowda and other dignitaries were present as honorary guests.


The Secretary of the society – Rangappa Gowda said that the Operating Capital is Rs.3.89 Crores, Shareholder’s Capital – Rs.2.25 Crores, Reserved Fixed Fund – Rs.1.41 Crores, Savings Deposit – Rs.5.29 Crores, Fixed Deposit – Rs.5.28 Crores, Jayalakshmi Daily Deposit – Rs.5.05 Crores and the society is currently having 3,615 members and the share amount is increased by 13.42% during the last year.


Mr. K. Raje Gowda, the Vice-President said that the society has become the trusted one by the customers and shareholders by its efficient management and hence 9% dividend has been declared this time.


In the beginning of the meeting, an obituary was paid to the departed members and well-wishers. Many people from Okkaliga community including members, shareholders, customers and well-wishers of the society were present in the meeting and provided their suggestions – instructions for the progress of the society. During this occasion, educational assistance was also distributed to children.


Bharathanatya dance was performed by Miss. Sneha. Mr. Parashuram Kisan Dond, Manager of the society welcomed the gathering and presented the report of last year’s annual activities and conducted the programme. Mrs. Shilpa Santhosh Mandavkar, Ganesh C Gowda, Prakash Namdev Vadkar, Mrs. Asharami Gowda provided information about the service of the society and Balance Sheet of last year. Mr. Rangappa C Gowda praised and wished the services of the collecting agents of Employee Vrundha and Pigmy and proposed the vote of thanks.
