35th anniversary of VeerakesariKalavrinda Mumbai 

Mumbai: August 24: “Co-existence is the purpose ofSocial service, and this institution is doing the same through art. Identifying the talented is like worshipping the art. Our institution is nurtured by the encouragement of numerous audiences. We are stepping into 35 years of service. This institution will devote its service for the sake of art ina many more years to come” -said Mr. Ramesh Shetty Payyar-The President of Veerakesari Kalavrinda Mumbai.

Ramesh Payyarpresided over the 35 th annual celebration conducted at Dr. M. VishshewarayyaSabhagriha,of Karnataka Sangha Mumbai, Matunga (W)on Sunday evening.

Shyama N Shetty – The President of Bombay Bunts Association was present as the chief guest, BelmanSeetharam B. Shetty - Ex Manager of Vijaya Bank, was present as the Honarary guest, AdvocateAnanda V Shetty - High court Mumbai, Ln.Krishna Hegde were present.

The Hotel and Mining Industrialist-Suresh Shetty Ballary, The young Journalist Ronnes Bantwal and Bharathanatya Dancer GeethaSalian were felicitated by thedeligateson the eve of anniversary.Kum. Asta P Shetty, Kum.Krithika Devadiga and Master Nikhil R Anchanthe shining talents in various fields were felicitated and honoured at this occasion.

As a reply to the felicitation Ballary Suresh said,“ I am thankful to you for giving me this honorand welcoming me cordially according to the saying’AtithiDevobhava”. What is the life of the artists working hard to protect the art and heritage? The credit should go to the institution for encouraging the talents among the artists. This institution is satisfied with whatever it has and does not have a longing for unnecessary things. Let this institution be like a mother’s home to the artists”.

“The 35th celebration is an honor to us also. Art awareness is a prime motto of the institution and let more and more artists get encouragement from this institution”, said Shyam Shetty.

Krishna Hegde said “This is a special day for me. Let this institution work hard to protect the culture which is gradually diminishing and let the artists get encouragement and support. Let it bring awareness about the mobile culture and encourage the Indian Culture”.

The programme began with the prayer, Padmanabha Sasihithlu sang the prayer. The Vice President of the Kalavrinda, Advocate Gunakara Shetty welcomed all. Hon.Treasurer Naveen Gulibettu, Cultural Committee Executive President Shyamaraj T Shetty and other office bearers gave the bouquet to the guest. Bhaskar Sasihithlu, RathnakarPoojary and GeethaSalian introduced the persons who received felicitation. Vaishnavi Shetty conducted the cultural programme, Navin Karkera presented the programme. Hon.Chief Sectretary Ramesh Shivapura proposed the vote of thanks.

In the beginning of the programme many artists performed various dance programme. Bale telipaale fame Kudla Manju Rai Directed “Telikeda Pulimunchi” comedy show was perfomed in the leadership of Ananda Perduru.

The VirakesariKalavrinda which was established by Tulu-Kannadiga youth, working at Dahisar-suburb. In the beginning the kalavrinda was identified with religious programmes and later the organization exhibited many plays in theatre, and became favourite of Mumbai Tulu-Kannadigas prestigious organization.
